Busy Evening!

I've been super busy tonight making preparations for Date Night! I did tons of laundry and have worked on cleaning the house a bit. Amongst other surprises! Here's an "after" picture of our toliet (trust me, you didn't want to see the "before":) ). Very exciting, I know:).

And Ben and I wanted to introduce everyone to Herbie. For a glass chicken (can I say chicken, or is he really a rooster?), he has a great personality!

Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed

Wednesday's are AWANA club nights!!! Our title comes from 2 Tim. 2:15: "Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." I help with the Kindergarten SPARKS class. We have a lot of fun and the kids are working so hard on learning their verses!

And sometimes, I get special surprises from them to display on our fridge. Tonight, McKayla colored a beautiful picture for me! I love it! (Well, actually 2 pictures. She put one on the front and one on the back and made sure that she signed both sides, just so I'd know who it was from:) .) Our fridge is quickly becoming a SPARKS art gallery!

And if you look carefully you'll also notice there are more "Pelfrey's" on our fridge (friends from church) than of our family. I need to get out all the family Christmas cards and school pictures we got this year to keep up:) !

Yummy Recipe!

I tried a new recipe for dinner... Pineapple-Black Bean Enchiladas! I made the full-fat version - which was delicious, but I'm sure that the reduced fat ingredients listed in the original recipe wouldn't be bad! You've got to try it!

1st Day as Bloggers

I've really enjoyed reading my friends' blogs online, so Ben and I thought we'd try one of our own. We'd love for our family and friends to visit us in Ohio, but realize that's not possible. So, we'll try and keep you guys up to date on what's going on through our blog!
