1st Sewing Class!!

PerryAnne (my friend from work) and I are taking a sewing class at The Stitching Post!!!! It's supposed to teach you all of the basics, and at the end, you get a sewing maching!! We learned a ton of cool things tonight and can't wait till our next class!


We learned how to make ruffles.... I'm sure Ben is really going to be excited about this new skill.



We learned how to make a blind hem. (It's where my finger is. You can't see it, but I think that's the point:) .) We also added top-stitching to make a nice edge (the left side of the material).

We made lots of stitching on some fabric to get familiar with the machine.

And we learned how to hem blue jeans!!! Look.... the top and middle of the fabric look just like REAL blue jeans (except with purple thread)! Cool, huh?
